#WARPHOTO Gallery Talk: Pulitzer Prize winning photographer David Wood shares his perspective after working for 35 years as a conflict photographer (Saturday 1 p.m., preregistration encouraged)

DancEthos Unsung: Through dance, this performance tells the story of war from the soldiers’ perspective. (Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. details)

 

#AliensInDC Neighborhood Mapping Workshop: Use maps and paint to imagine the future of your own neighborhood (Saturday 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., pre-registration required)

 

2. FREE SUMMER SATURDAY…OFFSITE EVENT

TheARC DC Organic Garden Community Service Wilson’s Pride: Community Service Project: Join Wilson, the Corcoran’s lion mascot, for an event combining arts with community service.  We’ll be out at THEARC beautifying the garden! (Saturday 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., pre-registration required)

 

3. TEACH AN ALIEN, MAKE A SHORT FILM

“The Alien’s Guide to __________.” Film Festival: Submissions for the Alien’s Guide Film Festival are due next Friday, July 26th, so help some aliens out and go make your film. Top entries will be screened at the Corcoran on August 1st and the winner will walk away with $250 (competition details)

 

4. GET YOUR BRUNCH ON

Todd Gray Muse Cafe Brunch- summer peaches

There’s a new menu out this week for Muse Cafe’s Sunday Vegan Brunch, and trust us, its so delicious vegans and non-vegans alike will be in brunch heaven. A few highlights to look forward to include Heirloom Tomato & Peach Salad,  Chilled Summer Corn Soup and Sundried Apricot Blintzes. Brunch is served buffet style, so you get to try it all! (Sunday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., adults $25, children $12, full menu).

#AliensInDC Scavenger Hunt: Find your inner alien on an interactive and fun-filled summer scavenger hunt around Ellen Harvey Aliens' Guide to the Ruins of Washington DC, scavenger huntthe city of Washington, D.C. Two separate Alien scavenger routes are tailored to both adult and family alien explorers with lots of surprises along the way. (Wednesday, July 24, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., details and register)
